I had the pleasure of designing and developing “The Purple Lovers,” a bespoke wedding website for a wonderful couple celebrating their wedding in August of 2024. This project showcases my expertise in website design, user experience, and creative branding, tailored specifically for a wedding theme.

Design and Development Process

1. Initial Consultation and Planning Understanding the couple’s vision was crucial. They desired a website that reflected their unique love story and wedding theme centred around the colour purple. We conducted several meetings to gather their preferences, including colour schemes, layout ideas, and essential features.

2. Wireframing and Design Using Canva and Elementor, I created wireframes to outline the website’s structure. Emphasising a clean, romantic design, I incorporated elegant typography, beautiful imagery, and seamless navigation to ensure an engaging user experience. The colour palette was carefully chosen to align with the couple’s purple theme (A Royal Affair), exuding sophistication and warmth.

3. Development and Customisation The website was developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a responsive and interactive experience. Leveraging WordPress, I customised the theme to suit the couple’s needs, integrating functionalities such as an RSVP form, event timeline, photo gallery, and a blog section for wedding updates. Ensuring mobile responsiveness was a top priority, making the site accessible across all devices.

4. Testing and Launch Before the official launch, rigorous testing was conducted to ensure flawless performance. This included cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and load time optimisation. Feedback from the couple was incorporated to make final adjustments, ensuring their complete satisfaction.

5. Launch and Post-Launch Support The website was successfully launched in May 2024, providing guests with a delightful preview of the upcoming wedding. I continue to offer post-launch support, updating the site as needed to include new photos, blog posts, and any additional information leading up to the big day.
